Our aim is to support underprivileged children and the organizations that care for them.

Spare-a-coin 2savchildren, Inc. supports needy children everywhere as well as the organizations that care for them. One such organization that currently receives our support is Foundation Maison D'espoir in Cazeau, Haiti. This is a faith based organization comprised of 18 churches, 9 primary and secondary schools, an orphanage, a clinic, and a vocational center. However in the last few years, their resources have dwindled significantly and the ensuing earthquake in January 2010 made a bad situation worse. The orphanage collapsed and many of the buildings suffered extensive damage. Unfortunately, they have not been able to perform the necessary repairs, nor rebuild the orphanage. They have been forced to cut many of their programs and downgraded their staff considerably.

Furthermore, they have approximately 3500 students attending their schools which are scattered in different parts of the country. Most of the kids in attendance are from very poor families and simply cannot afford to pay for any tuition, books, or uniforms. They eat only meal from their school kitchens. The clinic is located in Drouillard, one of the most deprived areas in the capital city of Port-Au-Prince. They can no longer afford to hire a doctor to provide much needed care to sick children and medications are very scarce.

As we grow, we hope to extend our reach to other organizations with similiar outlook.
